SHOTBY.US is a photographic duo, consisting of Lenka Glisnikova and Karolina
Matušková. Their expressive handwriting has been featured in the nominations for the Czech Grand Design Awards every year since 2019, and in 2020 and 2023 they were the winners in the Photographer of the Year category. In 2023, they won the Red Dot Design Award for their campaign for the Tanec Praha festival in the Brands & Communication Design category.
Lenka Glisníková and Karolína Matušková will guide you through the process of their work - from initial ideas, research, sketches, execution to feedback. They will reflect on the advantages of working in pairs and the role intuition can play in the creation process. They will also consider how constraints and obstacles can paradoxically have a positive effect on the outcome, but they will also consider what can be the killer of creative thinking. Finally, they will question whether it is necessary to be creative at all costs and when, on the contrary, too much invention can be detrimental.
